Surveillance & Access
What we supply
Cameras, doors, and the network that carries them
Most CCTV quotes price the cameras and leave the network, the storage and the aftercare for someone else to worry about. Those are the parts that decide whether the system still works in a year.
One team, not two
The advantage of buying it from your IT team
A CCTV contractor installs the cameras and leaves the network to someone else, which is why so many systems fail quietly months later, when a switch is replaced or the internet changes and nobody connects the two. We run both, so the cabling, the switching, the remote access and the cameras are one job with one owner.
It goes further than tidiness: the Fanvil and Grandstream door units are SIP devices, so a visitor at the gate can ring the same phone system we install: answered at a desk, or on a mobile when nobody is at reception. See business VoIP & PABX.
How an install runs
Surveyed before it is quoted
Camera systems go wrong at the specification stage, not the wiring stage: the wrong lens, a door nobody thought about, a month of footage that turned out to be three days. Ours runs the same way every time.
Survey
We walk the site before quoting anything: sightlines, lighting, where cable can physically run, which doors matter and what you are actually trying to prevent. If the location is one we cannot reach properly, we say so at this stage rather than after you have paid.
Design
Camera positions, door list, retention period and network changes, written down so you can see what each part is for and compare the quote properly.
Install
Cabling, mounting, configuration and handover, then tested after dark as well as in daylight, because that is when footage usually has to earn its keep.
Support
Adds, moves and faults handled by the same team, with one escalation path instead of a separate number for the camera company.
Done properly
Recording people is regulated: we set it up that way
CCTV and door logs are personal data under the Data Privacy Act, which means notices where people can see them, a retention period you can justify, and access to footage limited to the people who should have it. We configure the system to match how you say it will be used, and leave you with a record of what was set.
Brands we deploy
The hardware we actually install
We standardise on a short list of camera, recorder and door brands rather than selling whatever is cheapest that month, so our engineers know the firmware, the quirks and the replacement parts, and a fault does not turn into a research project.
Book a site survey
Tell us the site, roughly how many doors and areas you need covered, and what you are trying to prevent. We will look at it properly and come back with a written proposal.
Camera and door work needs people on site, so we take it on a case-by-case basis rather than promising blanket coverage. Tell us where you are and we will say straight away whether we can do it properly.
