Backup & Business Continuity

When a drive dies, a laptop is lost, a file is deleted or ransomware gets in, you get your data back: automated backup for Microsoft 365, servers and endpoints, an off-site copy, and a recovery plan we actually test.

What we protect

Every place your business keeps data it cannot lose

Most businesses back up the server and assume the rest is covered. The data that actually goes missing is usually somewhere else, in a mailbox, on a laptop, or in a cloud app everyone assumed was backing itself up.

Cloud apps Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace Backup Microsoft and Google keep their service running, not your data safe from your own users: a deleted mailbox, an overwritten SharePoint folder or a departed employee's OneDrive is your problem to restore. We back up mail, files, Teams and calendars separately, so any of it can be brought back. Exchange & Outlook OneDrive & SharePoint Teams Google Workspace
Servers Server & Virtual Machine Backup Image-level backup of physical servers and virtual machines, so recovery means bringing the whole machine back: operating system, applications and data, rather than reinstalling and hoping the files fit. Windows Server VMware & Hyper-V Databases Full-image restore
Endpoints Laptop & Workstation Backup The files that only ever live on someone's laptop are the ones that disappear when it is stolen, dropped or encrypted. Endpoint backup runs quietly in the background, wherever the device is. Laptops & desktops Runs off-site Lost & stolen devices File-level restore
Off-site Cloud & Off-site Copies A backup in the same room as the server burns, floods and gets encrypted with it. We keep a copy off-site in cloud storage, and where it matters, one that cannot be altered or deleted: the copy ransomware cannot reach. Cloud storage Immutable copies 3-2-1 approach Encrypted at rest
Continuity Disaster Recovery Planning Backup gets the data back; continuity gets the business working again. We agree which systems come back first, how far back you can afford to lose, and who does what: written down before you need it, not worked out during the outage. Recovery priorities Runbooks Failover options Recovery targets
Proof Monitoring & Restore Testing Most failed recoveries are backups that had been failing quietly for months. We watch every job, chase the ones that fail, and test restores on a schedule, so the first time a restore is tried is not the day you need it. Job monitoring Failure alerts Scheduled test restores Reporting

Backup is not continuity

Having a backup and being able to recover are different things

A backup is a copy. Continuity is knowing how long it takes to get working again from that copy, in what order, and by whom, and having proved it works before the day it matters. We look after both, alongside the servers, network and security they depend on, so recovery is one job with one owner.

Ransomware attackers go after the backups first, because a business that can restore does not pay. The off-site, unchangeable copy is what turns an attack into an inconvenience. See our cybersecurity services.

How we set it up

Planned around what you cannot afford to lose

Backup goes wrong at the planning stage: the system nobody listed, the retention that turned out to be a week, the restore nobody had tried. Ours runs the same way every time.

Assess

We map where your data actually lives (servers, Microsoft 365, laptops, the shared drive nobody admits to) and which of it the business cannot run without. The gaps usually show up here.

Design

What gets backed up, how often, how long it is kept, where the off-site copy lives and what comes back first in a disaster: written down so you can see what each part is for and compare the quote properly.

Deploy

Backup agents, storage and schedules set up and the first full copies taken, then a test restore before we call it done.

Run & test

Jobs monitored and failures chased by our team, with restores tested on a schedule and one number to call when you need something back.

Already lost something?

No backup and a drive that has failed?

Stop using the drive, every attempt to run it can make recovery harder, and talk to us about data recovery first. Once you have the files back, we will make sure you never need to do it again. See data recovery services.

Platforms we use

The backup platforms behind it

We match the platform to what is being protected: a Microsoft 365 tenant, a rack of virtual machines and a fleet of laptops each have a right tool, rather than forcing one product onto everything.
